narusegawa: Oh, Shinobu, good morning. You don't have practice today?

shinobu: Uh... eto... I'm afraid not.

narusegawa: That's good. You need a bit of break after all that running yesterday. So when's your next practice?

shinobu: Uh... Narusegawa-senpai, I won't be having any track practice from now on.

narusegawa: Huh? What do you mean?

shinobu: The senpais said to cut me from the team. But what they really meant is that I can't keep up with the team. So I'm no longer a member of the track club. S- senpai? Are you okay? You look stressed.

narusegawa: How can you exactly forget something a little? Either you remember or you'd forget something completely! Keitaro, you know how Shinobu-chan wants you to watch the race! We won't be in full force cheering for Shinobu-chan if you didn't show up!

keitaro: Full force?

narusegawa: And then you also bought yourself an expensive camera. Wouldn't it be a waste if you missed the race with your expensive camera? That expensive camera can make history tomorrow, Keitaro! So bring your expensive camera tomorrow!

keitaro: Why do you have to say expensive everytime?

narusegawa: No questions or no soup for you!

motoko: Don't be conceited. The challenge hasn't even begun! Come now, Keitaro-senpai! Delight in my heavenly cooking and let Kanako bow down before me!

keitaro: I can't eat all of this! There's enough food for thirty people on this table!

motoko: Then shall we proceed with the main course instead?

kanako: Agreed. Come let's go upstairs! The main course is waiting for us.

keitaro: Main course?! Don't tell me all of this is just an appetizer!

kaolla: Will there be a big crowd upstairs? Like are we having a party? Yosh, I'll reinforce every column in the apartment.

Shinobu Maehara (Maehara Shinobu) is a 14-year old schoolgirl who, after a bad start in which Keitaro lied about being in Tokyo University and his subsequent failed attempts to make it up to her, develops quite a crush on Keitaro (or Senpai - a Japanese term for senior - as she calls him). Shinobu is also a boarder at the Hinata House, in Room 201.
