naru: You know, Keitaro, I think it's better for you to focus more on your academics rather than the Inn's upkeep. It's not that hard anyway.

keitaro: No. I don't have problems regarding "academics". I'm fine and I'm telling you now that there's nothing wrong. Really.

kitsune: (shows keitaro's paper) Then explain why you failed your Philo I exam.

keitaro: HEY!! HOW DID YOU GET THAT?! I mean... well... the questions given were wrong and there were lots of corrections. So, I guess, it's an incorrect exam. I don't take credit from taking an incorrect exam. It's full of flaws. Besides, Philosophical Analysis should have no flaws at all. They should be handed out full- proof.

shinobu: I think Naru-senpai is right. Maybe Keitaro-senpai should give more attention in studying.

keitaro: You're right. Maybe I do have to spend more time studying. But the least that I want to happen is give you worries. Cram school was hard but Toudai... it's different. If you say so... Just don't worry from now on, okay? It's not fair for everyone.

Shinobu Maehara (Maehara Shinobu) is a 14-year old schoolgirl who, after a bad start in which Keitaro lied about being in Tokyo University and his subsequent failed attempts to make it up to her, develops quite a crush on Keitaro (or Senpai - a Japanese term for senior - as she calls him). Shinobu is also a boarder at the Hinata House, in Room 201.
